Approve Minutes of March 6, 2000 2.
Scott Dugan, Public Defender Board Approval of Deputy
Mr. Dugan has asked to meet with the
board regarding the hiring of a new deputy public defender. 3.
The 1X 6 Year Plan Hearing is 3-28-00 at 10:00 a.m.

Review and Approve Payroll and Accounts Payable Claim
5.
Recess for Lunch 11:30 a.m.

Reconvene from Lunch 1:30 p.m.
7.
Dave Boschult Annual Weed Review
Mr. Boschult oversees the Weed
Superintendents in this area for the state and will be giving an
assessment on Dakota Countys performance. 8.
Convene as Board of Equalization 1:45 p.m.
Grant Waiver to Allow Assessor to
Consider Late Exemption Applications. Several Applications were received
late by the Assessors Office. Those Entities have an opportunity
to request a waiver on the deadline to allow the Assessor to consider the late
Exemption Applications. The Board has received requests from the
United Methodist Church in Dakota City and Homer and from Faith Missionary
Church, South Sioux City. 9.
Public Hearing on Tax Exemption of Property Applications-2:00 p.m.
This is a hearing on all the
applications for Property Tax Exemption that have been filed with the
Assessor. For a complete list see the Assessor or County Clerk. 10.
Act on Tax Exemption Applications
After the hearing the board will take
action on the applications either to approve or disapprove. 11.

Open Bids for Mobile Data Terminals
The board has advertised for
bids on Mobile Data Terminals for the patrols. These will be funded in
part with a COPS Grant. 13.
Judy Kading - Freeway Mobile Home Park
Ms. Kading has requested an
opportunity to address the board. 14.
Open Health Care Proposals 2:30 P.M.
The Board has been asking for
proposals for employee health care to replace the existing carrier that is
leaving the Sioux City market. 15.
Russ Gifford Telepartners Information/Transfer of Franchise
Mr. Gifford will be addressing the board on this subject. 16.
Community Justice Agreement with Probation Drug Testing
This is an agreement with the State
Probation Office for the drug testing of those individuals on the Pretrial
Release Program. The cost for testing is $5.00 that is paid by the
offender. 17.
Community Justice Agreement with BI for Electronic Monitoring
This agreement is for electronic
monitors for pretrial detainees. There are already monitors being used for
sentenced offenders. The goal of this program is to have it completely
offender funded. 18.
E911 Agreement
Current agreements are up on
June 1, 2000. 19.
