1. 1:30 p.m. Call to Order with reciting the Pledge of Allegiance · Roll Call · Approve Minutes of March 24, 2008. · Review and approve Payroll and Accounts Payable Claims submitted by County Clerk for payment.
2. 1:31 p.m. Omaha Exposition & Racing Inc. dba Horseman’s Atokad Downs · Approve Liquor License Manager change · Application for Frederic Stinger as Liquor License Manager.
3. 1:35 p.m. Scott Bousquet – Provide Commissioners with Site Plan for 2400 Head Swine Feeding Operation.
4. 1:40 p.m. Randy Walsh – Equipment Grants Information.
5. Misc. agenda items. · Authorize and sign Agreements for Gravel bids. · Authorize sidewalk from Parking lot to Street · Performance Pork, LLC Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation (HS # 87393) SW 1/4, NE 1/4, Section 05, Township 27N, Range 07E, Dakota County. Prepared By: Chris Kreikemeier; E-Design, LLC ŕ Dakota County has received a copy of the application for a Construction and Operating Permit for the above referenced concentrated animal feeding operation, received by the Department of Environmental Quality, in accordance with Title 130, "Livestock Waste Control Regulations." ŕ Dakota County Board has thirty (30) days to comment to the Department about any conditions existing at the site that should be considered when making a decision on the application. · County Attorney Position ŕ Review applications submitted for the County Attorney Position. * Kimberly Watson – Dakota City NE, Jeffrey Kurtz – SSC NE, Lori Ubbinga – Homer NE, Richard Thramer – SSC NE and Michael Rogensues – Clinton Township MI. ŕ Schedule time and date to interview applicants for the County Attorney position. April 9th and 11th are suggested dates with the 9th being the primary date. The County Board may, and expected, to recess, to one of the above dates to conduct interviews with the applicants for the County Attorney Position. ŕ Appoint County Attorney will follow after all interviews have been completed. The Board may wish to further consider the applicants and recess to a date later than the date on which the interviews are held. If the appointment of the County Attorney is not made from this agenda, it will be carried on the April 21st, 2008 meeting agenda. ŕ The motion will include the effective date the successful applicant is to be sworn in.

The motion is to include the date on which the successful candidate is to assume the County Attorney Position. Recess to a later date if the board wishes to make the appointment before April 21, 2008 Adjournment |
