DAKOTA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APRIL 25, 2005 AGENDA COUNTY BOARD MEETING ROOM DAKOTA COUNTY COURTHOUSE DAKOTA CITY, NEBRASKA THEODORE A. PIEPHO, SECRETARY
1. Call meeting to order – 1:30 p.m. Roll Call Pledge of Allegiance Approve minutes of April 18, 2004
2. 1:35 p.m. Amber Hupemonney with Victim’s Assistance will provide the board with a program information update. She will also explain the type of individuals they serve along with the hours of operation and statistics and funding information about the program.
3. 1:45 p.m. - Brian Smith interview for the Public Defender’s Position. Brian could not attend the last meeting for his scheduled Interview because of a court appearance. His interview was rescheduled to this time.
4. 2:00 p.m. Public Hearing on Towing Regulations. Presently the County’s Zoning Regulations do not include or permit towing companies. The County Board will hear testimony in favor of, against, or neutral comments concerning the towing regulation being proposed.
5. 2:30 p.m. Missy Denton interview for Public Defender’s Position.
6. 2:45 p.m. Dan O’Neill- Neighbor Cleanup & Road Conditions. This is an area more commonly know as the Farmsteads located on Ithaca Way. This area is approximately two miles east of Jackson. Residents are going to ask the board for help in cleaning up the area and they also want to discuss the road conditions in that area.
7. 3:00 p.m. Probation Office- The Probation Office will discuss need for more office space due to increase in staff.
8. New Jail Construction – This item is carried on every agenda
9. Interlocal Agreement with South Sioux City - The County is being asked to amend the interlocal agreement previously entered into June 26, 2004 between Dakota County and South Sioux City, which authorized the Special Election August 10, 2004 to be held. This is a tabled item.
