3. Nicole Sims – Intern
for Maternity Leave
Ms.
Sims will be taking Maternity Leave, most likely beginning in December. A
college Intern has been hired to fill in part-time on the community corrections
grant, there will be enough grant money to pay for this position.
4. 1:35 Public Hearing –
Zoning Regulations
This is a public hearing following the public hearing by the planning and zoning
Committee on the campground regulations. These regulations have been
adopted by Planning and Zoning.
5. Railroad Crossing at
180th and Dodge
The Railroad wants a decision on whether or not this crossing will be closed and
the County paid for it.
6. NEMA Resolution
Resolution
regarding reimbursement of certain costs associated with the tornado at Jackson.
7. Planning Grant
Application – LB 640
There is a second round for applications for the planning grant monies for the
juvenile services plan. Applications are due on November 14, 2001 up to
$2500.
8. Planning Grant Letter –
LB692
Planning money is available for looking at the possibility of consolidating with
other Counties for a larger health department. The planning money is $5000
per county.

Status – First Baptist Church
First Baptist has not filed for continued Tax Exempt Status.

Status/Valuation
Continued from last meeting.

Official’s Reports from the County Clerk, Clerk of District Court, Register of
Deeds, and County Sheriff.
14. Phil Parker – Siemens – Climate
Control
Mr. Parker will be making a presentation to the board on the costs for updating
the Climate control system in the courthouse.
15. Esther Wilson – Road
Ms.
Wilson would like to address the board about the possibility of turning a road
over to the county for maintenance.
16. DCIT – Dianne Lutt – 3:00 p.m.
Representatives from DCIT will be making a presentation to the
board.
