The Public Defender is
John Loos Jr.
The chief deputy public defender is Joseph P. Flynn.
The office hours of the Public Defender are:
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
How people acquire the help of the Public Defender's Office:
The courts approve appointments to the Public Defender's Office. The court examines
both qualifications and financial situation. In some cases the courts, at time of
sentencing, have ordered that fees --in addition to fines and costs -- be paid to the
General Fund of the County.
A person should contact the Public Defender as soon as possible after the Courts have
approved the appointment to that office.
